Jennifer Litterer received her MFA in photography from Columbia College in Chicago in May, 2007. She earned her BA in Journalism and Theater at the University of Iowa in December, 2002. She was born and raised in Dougherty, Iowa.

For eight years, Jennifer was an assistant professor of photography at the Art Institute of Austin in Austin, TX. Currently Jennifer lives with her husband in Powell, WY and is an instructor of photography at Northwest College. The classes she teaches ranges from fundamentals, lighting and Photoshop. Her teaching philosophy is “learning by doing.” She structures her classes to have hands on element that practices the photographic theories and techniques. She encourages her students to create photos that excel both technically and conceptually.
